Pro Performance Sports, owner of the SKLZ, Sport-Brella and Pro Mini Hoop brands, works to guide and serve athletes on their journey to be their personal best with innovative products, technologies and knowledge.
Back in 2006, Pro Performance Sports (PPS) was looking for a way to translate the SKLZ brand seamlessly into the digital world and create a unique user experience shaped by great design as well as great insights for athletes from different sports. PPS was referred to TM5150 as the service provider to help them achieve this goal, and over eight years later they continue to benefit from the solutions and service that TM5150 continues to provide.
Since that time TM5150 has supported PPS in launching websites for each of their flagship Brands, company blog, as well as numerous micro-sites and promotional emails for PPS’ seasonal marketing campaigns.
Some of the major accomplishments
In 2009, TM5150 worked with PPS to relaunch the SKLZ digital platform, with the primary focus on improving the online shopping experience for their customers. The new platform, which benefited from improved efficiency, security and content, helped PPS increase their online sales capacity and lift all the barriers to closing direct sales that had existed on their previous platform. After the first year on the new platform, PPS achieved a 100% increase in revenue from the SKLZ website, reaching seven figures in online sales for the first time.
Building quickly off the success gained from the SKLZ platform, TM5150 leveraged the technology to launch a new website for the Sport-Brella brand. This approached resulted in a Branded website with E-commerce functionality that was launched within two months of kick-off, and has reached the annual sales goals set for over four years and counting.
In 2014, the wildly popular Pro Mini Hoop brand was given it’s own website. TM5150 worked with PPS to provide a solution that focuses on the youthful aspect of the Brand. Along with the featured product line, existing content posted by loyal customers on social media was leveraged to present a fun and rewarding Branded experience.
Global reach is on the horizonCurrently in production for a late 2014 launch, TM5150 is working on a solution to support the SKLZ brand for the global online market. The primary challenge for this solution is to build a platform that can support the localized content needs for each SKLZ distribution partner, while maintaining control over the the core technology, content and Branded presentation. Look for localized SKLZ websites to continue launching throughout 2015 and beyond.
